Christianity for Life Course

• Are you new to the church and wondering about being confirmed ?
• Have you returned to the church after a gap?
• Or have you been coming to church for ages but feel in need of a refresher course?

Then Christianity For Life may be for you!

This well established course runs from January to June each year, on most Monday evenings (excluding holidays and half terms).  For those who wish it serves as preparation for Confirmation - but there is no pressure !

Part 1 of the course deals with basic Christian belief, part 2 with growing as Christians and part 3 with living the Christian life.

Each of the 15 sessions has a mixture of input and discussion in small or larger groups. It’s not a set of lectures! Experienced lay leaders (or facilitators) organise and lead the sessions, and there is regular input from Revd Paul Hullyer, our vicar.

We aim to offer a safe place where faith can be shared and doubts expressed, and we all learn from one another.

Feedback from previous courses shows that people have valued the different approaches of the leaders, getting to know other members of the congregation and having other people voice the questions they have always wanted to ask! One found the course “helped me to have more understanding of what faith means”. Another said: “whilst there was no pressure to do so, people felt able to share many of their life experiences ………both leaders and led learned from each other”.
