Restoring today's church for tomorrow's people
St. John the Baptist Church has stood at the top of Pinner High Street for almost 700 years, a witness to the redemptive and inclusive love of Jesus Christ. The building has seen many changes in that time, and reflects the history of the Christian faith in Pinner. It is an integral part of the wider community, as is reflected not just in the regular worship of God, but also in the fact that it is used for events such as the Pinner Music Festival, the Jazz season, school visits and concerts, occasional concerts and exhibitions, memorial services and much else throughout the year. The church is open 365 days a year, and is much used for private prayer and devotion.
The building was last extensively restored in the 1880’s, and work is now required both inside and out in order that it may continue to exist for future generations. I hope that you will be able to support us both financially and in thought or prayer as we begin this exciting project of restoration for the future.
