Gift Aid is a fantastic way of giving even more money at no extra cost to you. If you are a UK taxpayer and you pay at least as much tax as the amount of your donation, if you Gift aid your donation, as a registered charity the church can claim an extra 25% on top of what you have given. So your gift of £20 becomes £25; £100 becomes £125; £500 becomes £625; £1,000 becomes £1,250: £6,000 becomes £7,500, etc,etc
What’s more, if you pay 40% or 50% tax when you make a donation you can claim back some of the tax you have paid.
