The gardens around the church continue to give delight to those who view them. Mention must be made of all the volunteers who have helped in recent times with a special mention for the unstinting efforts of Winnie when she was alive and her 'little gardens' on the path from the lych gate which continue to bring joy.

The Loudon Memorial continues free of ivy thanks to the efforts of the scouts last year. Maureen Craddock and Sue Sabry-Grant continue to give valuable support with their efforts. Sue Sabry-Grant's sterling efforts to clear the ivy/brambles near the Loudon Memorial deserve special mention. David James' care of the roses by street path are a good advertisement for the care given by church members. David Roker cuts the lawns and trims the edges and elicits admiration for the way he manages to get a lawn mower over the brick wall by the path to mow the grass by the Loudon Memorial.
The new notice board is now in situ and if anyone would like to take responsibility for planting bulbs/setting up plant troughs in this area their help would be very welcome.
The fact that has become inescapable in the last couple of years is that the gardens have, despite the best efforts of willing volunteers, now become so overgrown in places that professional gardeners are required to clear the overgrown areas and turf and plant the cleared areas. Professional help will then be needed to maintain the gardens twice a year.
